Dashawn is an exciting quick bowling all-rounder who plays his cricket with St. Catherine’s in Barbados.

St Catherine’s are a member of the Barbados Cricket Association and play in Division One of the three-day competition and compete at the highest club level in Barbados for the BCA T20 and 50-over tournaments.

Playing against players such as Kyle Mayers, Kraigg Brathwaithe, Kyle and Shai Hope, to name a few, helps develop consistency and allows a player to learn what’s required to compete at the top level. Dashawn has certainly taken on those lessons.

With the ball, he has a beautiful smooth action that generates significant pace, earlier this year he was clocked at 86mph. He combines that pace with the ability to move the new ball around and modify his strategy when the ball gets older. Slower balls, cutters, yorkers are all weapons in his arsenal that he continually works hard on to improve.

With the bat Dashawn is able to play the situations well. Enough power to clear the infield and the boundary, but also sufficiently skilled to dig in with clarity of mind and a good temperament, if that’s what the team requires.

Normally stationed at cover point, the 22-year old is a more than capable fielder with a strong arm and safe hands.

In his first game for St. Catherine’s in 2023 he took 6-36 and was leading wicket-taker in the season with 32, while also compiling 421 runs.

He is keen to secure a club in the UK in 2025 to continue his development. He also happens to be the assistant groundsman at his club in Barbados.
