Adam Barnard hails from the Mpumalanga region of South Africa, where he is clearly well thought of as a young cricketer with all-round potential.

He plays his cricket in South Africa for Ermelo Warriors where he plays a prominent role as a slippery seamer and a more than capable batsman. Having played age group cricket with Mpumalanga, Adam is hopeful one day of representing his home province in the first-class system.

Adam played in the UK during the 2024 season where he was picked up as the overseas player for Garstang CC 2nd XI in the Palace Shield competition and this gave him a look at how he needs to adapt his game to succeed in the UK. While this was very much a learning season for a promising young cricketer he showed plenty of glimpses of what he can do with six 50’s and a hundred (in all competitions) and chipped in with 12 wickets.

Keen on a return in 2025 to build on those figures and continue his development, Adam’s also keen to be involved on the coaching side (CSA Level 1 qualified) having worked with Garstang women’s team on his last visit.
