  • Bio:

Jeremiah is an opening batsman and wicket-keeper, a job he fulfils for his club side Queens Park CC in the competitive Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) Premiership 1.

He is in competition for the first-team spot at QPCC with Amir Jangoo, also Trinidad & Tobago’s wicket-keeper with 30 first-class appearances to his name. Along with names such as Daren Bravo, Tion Webster, Jeremy Solozano, Isaiah Rajah, all first-class cricketers, the first team at QPCC is not easy to break in, even for a young talented youngster such as Jeremiah Cruickshank.

Club cricket in the region returned in 2023 following a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic which ultimately denied Jeremiah a chance to play for the Trinidad & Tobago U19 side in 2021 after representing the side at U17 level in 2019.

The youngster sought opportunities elsewhere during the covid-impacted era and while attending senior team trials for USA he also played for St Louis Americans in the developing Minor League cricket.

Leadership is something that has been constant throughout his formative years, he captained all age group teams while playing for Fatima College (2014-2019) and was also North Zone captain at U19 level. Very much a player that leads by example such is his preparation and commitment to training.

He has played at Queens Park CC since 2014 and has worked his way diligently through from the sixth team and is now a regular in the second team. He did appear in the first team in 2019 and will be hoping to push for a recall in the coming years.

Jeremiah retains his ambition to play at the highest level possible and has attended trials for the West Indies U19 and Trinidad and Tobago’s senior team in recent years.

That ambition fuels his desire to return to club cricket in the UK in 2025 after a very successful first stint with Purley CC in the Surrey Championship. He made over 700 league runs at an average in excess of 50 and made a huge impact, on and off the field, with Purley.

Now he has proven his ability to adapt to different conditions, ‘Jerry’ is seeking a more competitive level to continue his development in 2025.
